We live in tough financial times, and many people are super stressed…

I just watched a video that I liked very much, and I think may help you as well:

This is TED talk and the basic message is that we need to stop seeing stress as something that will kill us, and instead view it as something our bodies do to help us rise to the occasion.

The speaker also talks about how stress helps us connect with others…

Kelly McGonigal: How to make stress your friend

Stress. It makes your heart pound, your breathing quicken and your forehead sweat. But while stress has been made into a public health enemy, new research suggests that stress may only be bad for you if you believe that to be the case. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal urges us to see stress as a positive, and introduces us to an unsung mechanism for stress reduction: reaching out to others.

How to make stress your friend [free video] — 1 Comment

  1. Well that really got me to understand why I am such a hug aholic and why I am so into the daily ritual of a daily hug when my partner comes home from her day at work while I slave over the PC and my countless websites causing an unhealthy stress. Kelly just made me rethink that I might just live to be 70!

A great video and educational too, thanks George.
