Easy WordPress SEO plugin (and egg on my face).

This will sound completely retarded…

Very often, I intentionally ignore things that
*everyone* seems to rave about. The reason
I do this is because I feel that many people
often fall for the “latest craze” that is
actually worthless.

This saves me a lot of pain – but also makes
me miss out on new opportunities!

I noticed that WordPress plugins that help
with on-page SEO were appearing left and right,
and people were going bananas over them.
But I was like: “What’s the big deal? Everyone
knows how to do on-page SEO.”

BUT I HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE:

Even though I KNEW how to do on-page SEO
for my blog posts, I was NOT doing a very
good job at it. It’s as if I felt that “knowing”
was the same as “doing.”

On-page SEO isn’t rocket science. The basics
can be covered in less than 2 mins. The problem
is that many people don’t do it (maybe because
it’s “common knowledge” or because it’s
“so darn easy.”)

It took me a while to see the light but now I’m
“converted” – and here’s why:

I just finished testing a WordPress plugin that
guides you through the on-page SEO process
and helps you create hyper-optimized blog posts.

If you use WordPress, you need to check it out:
http://www.georgekatsoudas.com/Easy-WP-SEO

I tested it on two blog posts of mine. The first went
from a score of 39% up to 96%. And the other went
from a 21% (!!!) to 98%.

Another thing that I liked about the plugin is that
it helps you improve the readability of your posts.
Most bloggers don’t care about readability but it’s
a *huge* deal. The more “digestible” your content
is for your visitors, the better.

We are all busy and tend to forget the simple things.
But this plugin is like having an SEO expert guide
you though the process of optimizing your content.

See the feedback it has gotten from other marketers:

If you don’t get on-page SEO right, then a lot of
the link-building you will do will go to waste.
Why not create a perfectly optimized page
when it’s so easy?

I was super skeptical about this type of plugins
but now I’m a (late) believer.

Talk soon,

George

PS. Warning: Optimizing your content and seeing
your SEO score go up can become very *addictive*.
12%, 17%, 34%, 56%, 79%, 94% etc…
Don’t get surprised if you find yourself optimizing
more and more of your older posts. It’s like
getting a higher score on a video game…
